Animal Rights and Conservation
My greatest passion is the love of nature & all things wild.
Our disconnection with the natural world is fueling its destruction, and accelerating the extinction of our precious wildlife.
We must advocate for wildlife conservation, the protection of wild lands and habitats, and for the humane treatment of animals.
Mankind must return to connection and harmony with our fellow creatures and the living Earth.
Voice of the Animals
We are living in a garden with a billion diverse beings blooming in a diversity of form. A majestic cacophony of all living things sings the song of life. Even a grain of sand can sing the history of eons of life on Earth, beginning in the deep blue world: a mesmerizing intelligence in perpetual motion, the ocean. On land each living creature has meaning and purpose, every ant, bee and bird. The Earth itself is alive and has a voice.
I wrote the music of Voice of the Animals to honor all of nature’s voices. My music gives expression to these unique and irreplaceable beings. The science and sonifications reflected in the music confront the devastation of all that beauty, the trembling terror felt even by the trees of the threat of annihilation of their world.
From the world of tiny insects to the watery world of the pink river dolphin, to the mighty lion and elephant: They are calling us to reclaim our connection and to remember that we are not just spectators – we are the hope and promise for safeguarding the natural world into the distant future.
ClimateMusic
The ClimateMusic Project is excited to announce a new collaboration with Scarlet. The new work will explore a “win-win” scenario under which humanity succeeds in combating climate change while preserving species through reforestation and rewilding.
The music will directly reference the latest science on the causes and extent of deforestation and prospects for reversing it, and it will be synchronized to a visual element that will reinforce the story in the music.
The ClimateMusic Project combines climate science with music to inspire and facilitate action on the climate crisis.
This new project featuring Scarlet Rivera will spark new insight and open a critical new pathway to active conversations about the climate crisis and realistic ways to access a better path forward.

The World Peace Violin
The McCollum Foundation is dedicated to creating a better world. Our mission is to create world peace on a universal scale through promoting a meta-narrative which establishes everyone and everything as equally sacred and essential, all sentient and non-sentient beings as family, and all needs, dreams and desires being met by empowering individuals and organizations to live this narrative. We believe this can be achieved through fostering inter-faith understanding and cooperation, and ending religious discrimination, for all spiritualities offer wisdom. Therefore, all people of the world should be honored as brothers and sisters.
The World Peace Violin serves as a powerful metaphor for both the beauty and diversity of our planet and for the successful integration of its religions, cultures, and people. It is bringing peace to the world.
